Rita lives with her parents and two of her nine siblings. Seven of her siblings have finished school and are working outside the community. At home, she helps by washing dishes and cleaning while her parents farm. Her favorite color is red. She enjoys eating rice with meat. In school, her favorite subject is Kiswahili, and she loves skipping rope with her friends. One day, she hopes to become a pilot.
